Recipe Number One: Roasted Garlic

Since this is the first one, lets start off with what should be an easy one. I love garlic and have been to some restaurants that serve a whole Roasted Garlic clove with their bread and butter...normally fancy Italian restaurants. And I got to thinking how cool would that be to serve that with your dinner or as an appetizer? ...so lets try it!

Here is the recipe from Allrecipies.com for Roasted Garlic:

Prep Time: 5 Min

Cook Time: 1 hour

Ready In: About an hour and a half

Servings Per Recipe: 15

Ingredients
10 medium heads garlic

3 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cut the pointy end of the bulb of garlic so that the tops of the cloves are exposed. Sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper and drizzle 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Let the oil soak in until the oven is pre-heated to 350 degrees. Using your finger, spread the oil around the exposed bulbs and the upper part of the skin. On a foil-lined baking sheet, turn the cloves cut side down and bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven, let cool for 20 or 30 minutes, then serve with crusty bread.

Alright so that's the plan, which means tomorrow we go to the store to buy garlic and olive oil! Now the trick is to find time tomorrow between work... I work 4am-9am then 9:30am-1:00pm and then I'm helping a friend from 2:00-3:00 and then back to work from 4:00pm-7:00pm and then from 7:00pm-9:30pm I'm going to the local baseball game to take pictures...I told you my days are crazy busy! *sigh* Wish me luck!
